Position Overview:
The Infrastructure Engineer plays a crucial role in designing and implementing intricate systems and solutions within CDC's Corporate and Operational Technology environments. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth integration and continuous support of these systems while addressing any technical challenges that may arise. The engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance infrastructure performance and uphold system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support sophisticated ICT and Operational Technology solutions, including VMware, Dell, Aruba, and Palo Alto systems.
- Provide Level 3 technical support for network, virtualization, compute, and storage systems.
- Engage in Data Centre ICT commissioning and DevOps automation initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to CDC design guidelines, policies, and standards.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, procedures, and stakeholder relationships.
- Assist with incident resolution, vendor interactions, and strategic technical enhancements.
Candidate Profile:
This role is ideal for an individual with demonstrated experience in deploying, configuring, and managing virtualized infrastructure and systems, including both Windows and Linux virtual machines. The preferred candidate should possess substantial experience with enterprise network infrastructure, encompassing switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Prior experience with Microsoft Azure and M365.
- Proficiency in ICT monitoring tools and scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with automation tools, preferably Ansible.
Essential Requirements:
Australian Citizenship with the capability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance.
