We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused catering assistant to join our team. As a key member of our support services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality catering services to our residents.
Your primary responsibility will be to maintain efficient and safe food handling practices at all times, adhering to Australian Food Standards and Food Safety requirements. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and exceptional support skills for our residents.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in catering assistance or hospitality, although this is not essential. You must be digitally literate and possess good communication skills, including clear and accurate writing and effective verbal communication.
This role involves setting up servery and dining areas according to our standards before each meal period, preparing trolleys for tea breaks and supper, cleaning and maintaining areas where food is prepared and served, assisting with meal preparation when required, and monitoring and recording food safety plan requirements.
To succeed in this position, you should be able to prioritize tasks effectively, work well under pressure, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
