The Opportunity:

Based in Adelaide, you will join the Geotechnical Team and collaborate with various disciplines across the business. You will receive on-the-job training to develop autonomy in scoping and leading geotechnical field investigations, while being supported in your development of geotechnical interpretation skills and becoming an integral part of the team.

In this role, you will:

  • Work in a collaborative environment
  • Scope and supervise field investigations, working with trusted drillers to achieve project outcomes
  • Interpret results of insitu and laboratory testing and log soils according to AS 1726 Geotechnical Site Investigations
  • Prepare factual and interpretive geotechnical reports with support from senior members of the Geotechnical Team as required
  • Integrate with project teams from various disciplines to ensure geotechnical findings are incorporated into designs
  • Provide engineering services, technical input, and direction in geotechnical design

About You:

To succeed in this role, you must be a graduate or early-career geotechnical engineer with 2-3 years of full-time or part-time experience in fieldwork supervision. You should be eager to apply and develop fieldwork supervision and geotechnical engineering skills to projects across water, transport, and local government disciplines. Additionally, you should possess:

  • Strong organizational and report writing skills
  • A team-oriented mentality with excellent collaboration skills and a focus on safety
  • A positive, flexible, and versatile approach to diverse tasks
