Job Opportunity:

Occupational Therapist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic Community Therapy Service, providing evidence-based occupational therapy to outpatients.

About the Role:

The Occupational Therapist will be accountable for assessment, goal setting, intervention/rehabilitation, triage and discharge planning for clients with complex needs, particularly in a neurological cohort.

Responsibilities:
  • Service Provision: Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to clients with complex needs.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy is essential.
  • Registration: Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant authority is mandatory.
  • Certifications: Valid Driver's Licence and current National Police Check and Working with Children Check VIC are required.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience working with complex community clients, especially in a neurological cohort, is highly desirable.
  • Skillset: Ability to provide centre and home-based occupational therapy services is an advantage.
