Lead Control Systems Engineer

We are currently seeking a Lead Control Systems Engineer who will be responsible for process automation design and software development related to Metso BMH Engineering for product development and customer project delivery.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in control system engineering, preferably in bulk material handling or mineral processing industries. They will lead engineering design and development, including preparation of design and development specifications. Additionally, they will develop PLC and advanced process control (APC) applications, HMI, and SCADA systems.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and project management capabilities with experience mentoring junior engineers. They will also have extensive knowledge of industrial process control design, network architecture, and MES/ERP integrations.

  • Leading engineering design and development, including preparation of design and development specifications
  • Developing PLC and advanced process control (APC) applications, HMI, and SCADA systems
  • Designing machine process architecture and control system architecture
  • Developing and maintaining standard product portfolio according to the product roadmap and creating tailored solutions for customers
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Control Systems Engineers
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of industrial control system standards, best practices, and regulatory compliance
