Track Renewals Resurfacing Specialist

This is a long-term career opportunity with a mining sector leader.

We have a new requirement for a Track Renewals Resurfacing Specialist, responsible for executing large-scale capital and operation expenditure track works including track renewal/reconstruction (plain line, turnouts, cross overs), re-rail & stress management and rail civil works. You will be accountable for:

  • Planning and managing the safe execution of track renewals resurfacing projects
  • Developing methodologies to improve safety and efficiency, and reduce costs
  • Developing and sustaining a strong safety and collaborative culture in the track renewals team
  • Supporting project delivery, ensuring resurfacing works are completed to contract requirements and timelines

In terms of your background, you'll ideally have experience in:

  • Track renewals including plain line, turnouts and cross overs, level crossings, re rail and stress management
  • Good communication, interpersonal and people management skills with a range of audiences
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft suite, SAP and planning systems
  • Good planning skills and the ability to oversee projects to successful completion
  • Administration and prioritisation including time management capability
  • Competent in reading detailed design drawings, plans and schedules
  • Sound judgement including balancing competing issues
  • Ability to identify risks and implement controls to manage risk
