We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at JJ's Waste & Recycling. As a key member of our depot and operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of our fleet of trucks, ensuring they comply with Company Fleet Management Standards and legislation.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the fleet is maintained to and in compliance with Company Fleet Management Standards, with an emphasis on safety.
- Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management System.
- Maintain contact with regional and national fleet management.
- High level of interaction with contractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance requirements.
- Manage records, planning tasks, and forecasts.
- General maintenance support including breakdowns, repairs, technical support, and paperwork.
- Trade qualified - heavy commercial vehicles.
- Experience in vehicle / fleet maintenance.
- Good product knowledge and a sound understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Current HR and Forklift licence.
- Intermediate experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to successfully satisfy a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing.
