The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a prominent institution in the healthcare sector, dedicated to delivering a comprehensive range of public health services to the Nepean and Blue Mountains and Lithgow Region. Our facility, the Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital, serves a community of approximately 80,000 residents and is recognized as the last remaining ANZAC Memorial hospital in New South Wales.

Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse to engage in either Permanent Full-time or Part-time roles at our facility. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate optimal patient outcomes through the promotion of best practices, effective communication, and collaboration with multidisciplinary health teams. You will be involved in the planning, implementation, assessment, and evaluation of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the unique needs of all patients and their families, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Provide high-quality care during specialized procedures while maintaining professional standards and ethical nursing practices.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
  • Recent experience in an acute care environment, including completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated negotiation abilities.
  • Capability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to work a rotating roster that includes morning, evening, and night shifts.
