Highway Infrastructure Technician

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our outdoor team as road maintenance labourers. This is an opportunity to make a difference in our community while working in a supportive team environment.

The role involves undertaking safe and proper operation of plant, including tandem tip trucks, tray trucks, and backhoe loaders, as well as performing manual labor tasks and mechanical/plant operated road and bridge works.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating heavy machinery, such as chain saws, pole saws, brush cutters, blowers, and other items of small plant, along with relevant manual labor experience.
• Following work schedules in an autonomous manner.
• Prioritizing works for self and small teams.
• Maintaining records in support of occupational health and safety, quality assurance, environmental accreditation, and other requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• Demonstrated experience in operating road maintenance related plant and equipment, and tools.
• Able to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Availability to participate in after-hours callout roster.
