Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Brisbane office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing various Quantity Surveying functions, including estimating, planning, and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients, architects, and main contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify and facilitate new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue.
  • Develop and manage master-plan and feasibility budgets to ensure accurate cost projections.
  • Conduct cost checking of developing designs to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Apply value engineering techniques to optimize project costs and improve efficiency.
  • Evaluate tenders and analyze data to inform informed decision-making.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients and stakeholders to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Manage cash flow projects to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Procure materials and services to support project delivery.
  • Prepare and present cost reports to stakeholders, including clients and project teams.
  • Evaluate variations and valuations to ensure accurate cost assessments.
  • Prepare and present final account reports to clients, including detailed cost breakdowns.
  • Prepare and present claims for payment to clients, including detailed documentation and supporting evidence.
  • Analyze investment opportunities to inform business growth and development.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction.
  • Experience in cost estimating and planning software, including Cost X.
  • Full Australian working rights and current location in Australia.
  • MRICS / AIQS accreditation.
  • Proficient in the use of CostX, with excellent report writing skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, with a strong focus on communication and collaboration.
  • Highly motivated and passionate about delivering excellence to clients.
  • Previous experience in Retail, Commercial, and Residential projects, with a desire to work on a range of construction projects.
