Job Overview

Downer's Energy & Utilities business unit is seeking a skilled Maintenance Tradesperson to join the facilities management team at Chevron located in Barrow Island, Western Australia. As a Maintenance Tradesperson, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, identifying and documenting repairs and replacements, as well as performing general repairs on buses, trailers, trucks, tractors, and mobile plant equipment.

About You
  • You hold a Trade qualification (Cert III in Heavy Diesel or equivalent)
  • You are technically proficient in the safe use of hand tools and equipment required to perform tasks
  • You have excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety
  • You hold full working rights in Australia and a valid manual driving license

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and identify areas for repair or replacement
  • Perform general repairs on buses, trailers, trucks, tractors, and mobile plant equipment
  • Document all repairs and replacements in accordance with company procedures
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvements in the workshop environment
