About this Opportunity

Pact Recycling is seeking a highly skilled HSES Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental sustainability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate potential incidents.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to management and employees on health, safety, environmental, and sustainability matters.
  • Lead incident investigations, ensuring thorough analysis and timely reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and industry standards, ensuring timely updates to policies and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to promote awareness and enhance competencies in health, safety, environmental, and sustainability practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in health, safety, environmental, and sustainability management within a manufacturing environment in Australia.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian health, safety, environmental, and sustainability legislation and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, analyze data, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving change initiatives.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, sustainability, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety or Diploma of Work Health and Safety are advantageous.
  • Training and certifications in specific Australian regulations and standards relevant to manufacturing operations are preferred.
