Role Summary:
Centrecare seeks qualified Counsellors to join their programs in Kalgoorlie. The primary role is to provide counselling services that enhance the healthy functioning of individuals, couples, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Screening and assessment for clients with complex needs such as domestic violence, homelessness, abuse, and schooling issues. Development of individualized support plans and provision of appropriate brief intervention supports. Ensuring support plans are tailored to meet client needs and delivering evidence-based counselling and group interventions. Referral and assistance of clients to access specialist services and support groups.
Qualifications and Experience:
A recognized tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Counselling, Childhood Development, and/or Family Studies. Minimum 3 years' experience working with children and families with complex needs. Demonstrated experience in case management and coordination of client services, intake, assessment, and case management. Knowledge and experience in early intervention and prevention program services.
