We are seeking a seasoned Nurse Practitioner who possesses the knowledge, skills, and authority to assess and manage our residents' diverse acute and chronic health issues. Your contributions will be pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives aimed at minimizing hospital admissions, facilitating appropriate specialist referrals, prescribing medications, and monitoring care recipients enrolled in wellness programs. Additionally, you will engage in clinical research related to our wellbeing initiatives by collecting and analyzing data and collaborating with general practitioners, as well as contributing to policy development.
Required Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a comparable position
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities
- Proven experience in leading and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong aptitude for building relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Familiarity with the Medicare Benefits Schedule
- Knowledge of the Department of Health regulations pertaining to residential aged care
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Previous experience in aged care is advantageous
