Job Opportunity: Official Visitors

We are seeking community-based appointments to serve as Official Visitors in NSW custodial centres. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the well-being and safety of inmates while gaining valuable experience in governance and public service.

As an Official Visitor, you will work to resolve enquiries and complaints made by inmates and assist in monitoring the conditions and treatment of inmates in custodial centres throughout New South Wales (NSW).

This is a great opportunity for individuals who value community service and want to make a positive impact on people's lives.

  • Develop skills in conflict resolution and problem-solving through interacting with inmates and facility staff.
  • Gain experience in working with diverse groups and cultures, promoting inclusivity and respect.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that improve the quality of life for inmates.
