Metalwork Specialist

Location: North Mackay, Australia

Austin is a leading global provider of innovative engineering mining solutions and products.

• Read and interpret project plans, engineering drawings, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams.
• Perform fabrication and repair works on various metal structures and components.
• Weld small and large components, including copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
• Ensure fabrication and repairs are carried out using the proper safety guidelines.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Trade certificate in Engineering Fabrication or Equivalent qualification.
• Proficient in performing all welding, gouging, cutting, or other duties.
• Post trade experience in the same field.
• Proactive attitude with the desire to work reliably as part of an outstanding team.

The successful candidate will work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks. They must have strong attention to detail and ability to conduct quality checks on completed work. Familiarity with a range of hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and cutting tools, is also essential.
