Overview

We are a leading food and beverage company seeking a skilled Raw Materials Lab Technician to join our team at our Regency Park site. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of our products.

In this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for auditing Raw Material deliveries, reviewing important Food Safety documents, maintaining and improving quality systems, and training and coaching site teams in quality processes and testing.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Science (Chemistry) or Food Science, with previous laboratory experience in a similar manufacturing environment. They will also have high-level technical skills in instrumentation and/or chemistry & mechanical reasoning, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  1. Audit Raw Material deliveries physically and in SAP system to ensure timely receipt.
  2. Review and audit important Food Safety documents to guarantee compliance.
  3. Maintain and improve quality and Food Safety systems through analytical testing, instrument calibration, and maintenance.
  4. Train and coach site teams in quality processes and testing.
  5. Conduct internal audits, generate and analyze reports, and support customer complaints and investigations.
  6. Handle chemical preparation.
  7. Ensure compliance with Hold and Abort systems.
  8. Follow site GMP Policy to ensure product quality and safety.

About You

  • Qualifications in Science (Chemistry) or Food Science or related discipline preferred.
  • Previous laboratory experience in a similar manufacturing environment essential.
  • High-level technical skills in instrumentation and/or chemistry & mechanical reasoning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-management and initiative with ability to plan and prioritize targets.
