Role Overview

The Brand & Marketing Manager plays a key role in shaping the marketing strategy and annual marketing plan for our centres, working closely with the Regional Brand and Marketing Manager. Key responsibilities include leading the development of centre Vision Strategy and Action (VSA) plans, managing commercial strategies, and identifying opportunities to support retailer business strategies.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Complete all elements of the annual performance cycle by the due date, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and end-of-year conversations.
  2. Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, team meetings, and development conversations with a minimum monthly cadence.
  3. Manage performance issues in an effective and timely manner.
  4. Conduct quarterly development conversations with all team members.
  5. Ensure 100% compliance training completion for the team.
  6. Deliver all health and safety, risk, and compliance requirements across the team.
  7. Effectively manage budgets as per forecast, demonstrating a focus on managing costs.
  8. Demonstrate a commitment to building own capability as a people leader.
  9. Collaborate with the Regional Brand and Marketing Manager to develop brand and marketing strategies for the centre, aligned with the Vicinity Marketing Strategy and Vision Strategy and Action Plan (VSA).
  10. Deliver and align with the Vicinity Marketing Strategy and asset cluster plan for the centre.
  11. Have a thorough understanding of consumer segmentation and key target markets to develop strategies that create value and deliver ROI.
  12. Plan, manage, and execute strategic campaigns, activations, and projects consistently to timelines and budgets.
  13. In conjunction with the Digital and Social Specialist, develop and implement social and digital strategies, activities, monitoring, and reporting to support cluster and centre marketing plans.
  14. Provide centre operational support as required, including duty management shifts, centre walks, hoarding management, and onsite contractor support.
  15. Maintain a strong understanding of retailer businesses and engagement, ensuring regular and meaningful communication and reporting with retail partners.
  16. Support the localization of the national ESG strategy, including relationship management and data reporting.
  17. Perform administrative and reporting duties, including preparing reports, attending Joint Venture Meetings and regional meetings, and performance management of regional traffic, sales, and campaign PIRs and relevant risk, security, and compliance training reporting.
  18. Contribute to financial and budgeting duties, including raising purchase orders, processing invoices, monthly forecasting, and supporting the Regional Brand and Marketing Manager with annual budgeting and planning processes.

Experience & Capabilities

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  1. You will be an experienced marketing professional from retail and/or brand marketing with competency in modern, results-driven marketing.
  2. You will have strong analytical understanding of local customer insights and knowledge of the competitive environments, with the ability to work as a part of a team and develop/maintain strategic relationships across a region.
