About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at Clarke Energy, a leading global specialist in the engineering, installation, operation, and maintenance of engine-based power plants.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation of projects within the EPC business unit, providing technical advice on electrical design, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement electrical systems and subsystems for power generation projects.
  • Collaborate with the electrical project design team to carry out design and project works.
  • Engineer projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Prepare design work to meet engineering specifications and comply with relevant industry standards.
  • Coordinate or carry out basic estimates for engineering work.
  • Liaise with customers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.
  • Perform factory testing and site commissioning and testing of installed equipment.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with a broad range of electrical design, project engineering, and project support.
  • Similar power generation industry or related heavy industry experience.
  • Ideal experience with full project lifecycle.
  • Junior to Senior levels of Electrical Engineering experience in the relevant field.
  • Knowledge of LV to HV (primary and secondary) electrical systems.
  • Experience with protection, earthing, and lighting systems.
  • Hazardous area competency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Initiative and problem-solving ability.
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Project, and AutoCad desirable.
  • Driver's License.
