Job Summary

A system administrator is needed to manage Windows servers and VMware vSphere environments.

About the Role

  • Install and configure Windows servers for optimal performance.
  • Maintain server security by applying patches, updates, and fixes using SCCM.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot server performance and availability issues.
  • Implement security policies, including group policies, firewall settings, and anti-malware solutions.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter.
  • Create and manage virtual machines and templates.
  • Tune VMs and VMware settings for optimal resource utilization.
  • Configure disaster recovery tools like SRM.
  • Plan and forecast resource usage to ensure smooth operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and virtual network/storage issues in VMware environments.
  • Support and troubleshoot issues related to VM migrations, snapshots, and backups.
  • Manage user accounts, group memberships, and permissions.
  • Enforce least-privilege access and manage permissions through GPOs.
  • Configure and maintain Group Policies for user and computer settings.
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell or other tools.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Provide level 2/level-3 support for escalated issues.
