Opportunity to Work at a Historic Landmark

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team delivering horticulture activities based in Cranbourne Gardens, a site of State significance for flora and fauna conservation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for garden maintenance, living plant collections curation, turf care, plant records, plant health, biosecurity, and irrigation practices.
  • Support landscape development projects, initiating and prioritising tasks in consultation with Team Leader to achieve continual improvements across the Gardens.
  • Contribute to the achievement of branch objectives.
Requirements
  • A trade certificate or other relevant qualification.
  • A passion for plants and experience in Horticulture.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a large complex garden, with a strong history or horticultural practices, plant identification and curation.
  • Excellent attention to detail, and ability to record and monitor data and records, including maps and plant performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team and deliver excellent customer service to site visitors.
