About the Role

We are seeking a Chief Risk Officer for Supplier Partnerships to join our Business Banking team. This is a key role in ensuring that our third-party risk management practices are robust and effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a proactive risk culture through collaboration with business partners, procurement, and Line 2 teams to shape the optimal approach to third-party risk and change matters.
  • Advise on all aspects of supplier lifecycle and governance activities, including supporting business owners with risk advice on various supplier risk assessments.
  • Design and implement controls to enable better risk and compliance outcomes, including identifying opportunities to enhance the design and resiliency of business processes and controls through continuous improvements.
  • Uphold data quality in key systems (e.g., RiskInSite, SRG) and provide essential support to business partners in governing, overseeing, and managing third-party risks.
  • Partner with the business to manage risks, compliance obligations, and operations within risk appetite, including profiling and capturing risks in the Risk Profile (RCSA) and updating when risk trigger events occur.

What You'll Need

  • A strong background in procurement and supplier management, including experience advising and managing third-party arrangements.
  • A risk and compliance mindset, with sound knowledge and experience in Operational Risk and Compliance Management Frameworks, as well as the ability to analyze/identify risks and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and manage a large group of stakeholders with conflicting priorities.
  • Business acumen, with an understanding of the business and its strategic priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different teams and levels of seniority.
