About the Role:
You will be mentored by experienced cardiologists and play a key role in the medical management of cardiac cases. Your responsibilities will include assisting with cardiac interventions, post-operative care, and client communication. You will also contribute to daily rounds, case discussions, and knowledge sharing within the hospital's clinical research areas.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of patients for cardiac procedures and provide ongoing care throughout their treatment journey.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional communication and empathetic care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including internal medicine, surgery, emergency and critical care, anaesthesia, neurology, ophthalmology, dermatology, radiology, and oncology.
- Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities, including didactic learning sessions and presentations.
Your Ideal Background:
- A degree enabling registration as a veterinarian in NSW with the VPB.
- Prior experience in small animal cardiology or relevant internships is highly valued.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to clients and colleagues.
