Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Engineer to join our team at Cuscal Limited. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data protection and cybersecurity, with experience in designing and implementing robust data protection frameworks.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data protection professional to work closely with our cross-functional teams to protect critical data assets and ensure their secure handling across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to relevant compliance and regulatory frameworks, including CPI DSS and CPS234.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement robust data protection frameworks, including encryption, proxy, data loss prevention, and file integrity monitoring.
  2. Lead the strategic design, deployment, and continuous optimization of Microsoft Conditional Access Policies to safeguard corporate assets.
  3. Develop and enforce automated data classification, labeling, and encryption policies that align with regulatory frameworks and internal compliance standards.
  4. Ensure adherence to relevant compliance and regulatory frameworks, including CPI DSS and CPS234.
  5. Work with compliance and risk teams to identify, document, and mitigate data protection risks.
  6. Lead efforts in data security incident management, including identifying, investigating, and remediating data breaches or loss of data events.
  7. Manage and optimize DLP technologies, developing and fine-tuning policies to prevent unauthorized access, sharing, or exfiltration of sensitive data.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on data protection engineering, incident response, and threat intelligence.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with FIM, Proxy & DLP tools.
  • Expertise in encryption technologies and cryptographic protocols.
  • Strong understanding of advanced exploitation techniques and attack vectors.
  • Experience with scripting and automation to streamline detection and response activities.
  • Proven experience leading high-severity incident responses in a fast-paced environment.
