The Travel Risk Management Specialist Role

The incumbent is responsible for leading the program employee health and travel insurance functions across Asia Pacific, including coverage queries, broker negotiation and coordination, renewals, compliance, and risk mitigation.

This role manages relationships with International SOS to ensure effective membership administration, traveller support, and issue resolution.

As custodian of the Adaptive Mobilisation and International Travel framework, the role liaises with the Global Security Office and Program teams to assess travel risks, maintain accurate tracking, and ensure safe, compliant international travel.

  • Insurance Guidance and Support:">
    • Provide technical guidance and respond to internal queries regarding program employee health and travel insurance coverage.">
    • Ensure all departments and Programs understand their insurance needs and facilitate appropriate coverage adjustments as necessary.">
    • Liaise with insurance brokers to coordinate the negotiation terms and ensure comprehensive coverage.">

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance regulations and best practices.">
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with international travel.">

  • Membership Administration and Coordination:">
    • Coordinate the management of International SOS memberships for Abt Australia and UK.">
    • Ensure timely renewal and activation of memberships.">
