The successful candidate will have experience servicing and maintaining fixed plant crushers, jaw crushers, cone crusher and conveyors. They will also have the ability to assist with heavy equipment's repairs and maintenance, sound communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or in a team.

Key qualifications for this role include an Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate, OH&S Construction Card and HRWL – Confined Spaces and Working at Heights. The ideal candidate will also have proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times.

Job Description

The Yilgarn Iron Ore Project is a significant mining operation that includes the sites of Koolyanobbing, Windarling and Parker Range. The project is located in the Shire of Yilgarn and involves the extraction of iron ore from the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Native Title Group.

As a Mechanical Fitter in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Servicing and maintaining fixed plant crushers, jaw crushers, cone crusher and conveyors
  • Assisting with heavy equipment's repairs and maintenance
  • Ensuring all work is conducted in accordance with relevant safety systems and safe work processes
  • Meeting required KPI's set down by management team, operations, and the client
