Supply Chain Engineer - Mechanical

This is an exciting opportunity to support the maritime build program through supplier technical reviews and quality assessments.

The ideal candidate will have senior experience in electrical engineering, supply chain expertise, and team leadership experience. They must be an Australian citizen with NV1 Security Clearance eligibility and hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, eligible for Engineers Australia membership.

Key responsibilities include reviewing engineering design requirements for naval applications, understanding shipbuilding codes and technical specifications, identifying potential suppliers, conducting pre-qualification reviews of manufacturers and suppliers, participating in on-site supplier assessments, comparing international standards, and evaluating Objective Quality Evidence (OQE).

About You

  • Australian citizen with NV1 Security Clearance eligibility.
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and eligible for Engineers Australia membership.
  • Knowledge of systems and technologies relevant to Australian shipbuilding.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Ability to prioritise and set work standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in Defence shipbuilding industry is advantageous.
