Job Description

Fitzgerald Jenkins Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Options Trading Assistant to join our team in a dynamic environment. As a key member of our Options Trading Desk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our traders and contributing to the success of our proprietary trading firm.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Trade Reconciliation: Compile and reconcile trade transactions and positions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Creation and Redemption Instructions: Prepare and submit creation and redemption instructions for proprietary trading, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Position Maintenance: Assist in maintaining position, profit and loss (P&L), and information exchange, providing critical support to our traders.
  • Algorithmic Trading Tools: Use algorithmic trading tools under instruction from traders, leveraging your analytical skills to optimize trading strategies.
  • System Maintenance: Update and manage all trading systems, proprietary trading applications, and Excel spreadsheets, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between desk traders and other dealers, traders, or brokers, as well as internal departments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience in a trade support/product control/trader's assistant role for Derivatives trading.
  • Knowledge of Options/Futures/Derivatives products.
  • Relevant degree (e.g., Finance, Commerce/Business, Actuarial).
  • Working experience with Python/VBA/SQL.
  • Very high attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluent English skills and full Australian working rights.
