Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our community programs team as a Community Program Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality playgroups and other supports to families, while also contributing to the growth and development of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality playgroups and other supports to families.
  • Build quality relationships with children and families to provide a welcoming environment.
  • Provide modelling and support around early childhood development.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our organisation.
Requirements
  • Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education.
  • Outstanding skills in communication with families.
  • Skills to collaborate and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to model effective early childhood practice.
  • Working knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Evidence of commitment to an inclusive curriculum.
  • Ability to follow WH&S and other policies.
  • Knowledge of the ECEC sector.
  • Experience providing playgroups (desirable).
  • Maintain a valid paid Working with Children Check through the Office of the Children's Guardian.
  • Maintain a current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Identify and respond to children at risk certificate (desirable).
  • Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate.
  • A valid driver's license.
