Company OverviewAt the forefront of large-scale commercial solar, our client is a pioneer in delivering market-leading projects since its inception in 2012. With a significant asset management function and a portfolio of 1,600 sites, they offer more than just design and construct.
About the RoleThe Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and acquiring new business in the Victorian large-scale commercial solar market. The role will focus on preparing and delivering comprehensive feasibilities and proposals outlining key financials against potential clients' energy profiles.
This includes developing a sound market strategy incorporating in-depth knowledge of the Australian commercial solar market, competitor research, and pricing strategies. Cross-team collaboration will also be a feature as the role involves liaising with clients, pre-sales engineering, and project management teams during system design and delivery.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will be an autonomous and self-resourced hunter with a keen drive to engage and acquire new commercial and industrial business ripe for large-scale solar opportunities. This requires clear and engaging communication skills, strong business acumen relating to energy usage, and proposal/feasibility preparation.
A proven track record in sales, business development, or account management ideally in solar or renewable energy is essential, along with familiarity with commercial solar energy systems, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
