About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and acquiring new business in the Victorian large-scale commercial solar market. The role will focus on preparing and delivering comprehensive feasibilities and proposals outlining key financials against potential clients' energy profiles.

This includes developing a sound market strategy incorporating in-depth knowledge of the Australian commercial solar market, competitor research, and pricing strategies. Cross-team collaboration will also be a feature as the role involves liaising with clients, pre-sales engineering, and project management teams during system design and delivery.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an autonomous and self-resourced hunter with a keen drive to engage and acquire new commercial and industrial business ripe for large-scale solar opportunities. This requires clear and engaging communication skills, strong business acumen relating to energy usage, and proposal/feasibility preparation.

A proven track record in sales, business development, or account management ideally in solar or renewable energy is essential, along with familiarity with commercial solar energy systems, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
