Subsequent 55 B/C Qualifications:

Consideration for a subsequent 55b/c appointment may be given if you possess one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a grade 18 or higher, as recognized by civil service, along with a current Civil Service 55b/c approval letter.


Reassignment Qualifications:

This opportunity is available exclusively for current Department of Labor employees who have a minimum of one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in the role of Supervising Labor Services Representative. If you have less than one year, you must be reachable on the current Supervising Labor Services Representative eligible list for this location, if one exists.


70.1 Transfer Qualifications:

One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in the following titles may qualify for transfer in accordance with Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law:

  • Employment Counselor – Grade 18
  • Employment Counselor Spanish Language – Grade 18
  • Employment Services Representative – Grade 18
  • Investigative Officer 2 Unemployment Insurance – Grade 20
  • Senior Administrative Analyst – Grade 18
  • Senior Unemployment Insurance Hearing Representative – Grade 20
  • Senior Unemployment Insurance Reviewing Examiner – Grade 20
  • Unemployment Insurance Accounts Support Supervisor 1 – Grade 20
  • Workforce Programs Specialist 1 – Grade 18

Duties Description:

As a Lead Labor Services Coordinator within the Division of Employment and Workforce Solutions, you will oversee both professional and clerical personnel, fostering a cohesive team dedicated to fulfilling departmental objectives. This includes guiding staff in a consistent manner to ensure the effective delivery of services to the agency's clientele.

Your role may also entail representing the Commissioner of Labor and the Division Director at various meetings with local workforce investment boards, the local Chamber of Commerce, and other community organizations.
