Job Title:

Senior Backend Storage Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Storage Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing high-performance, scalable, and resilient backend storage solutions on AWS cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a focus on distributed systems and storage technologies. They will work closely with the principal engineers, architects, SREs, and product teams to define technical roadmaps, improve storage efficiency, and optimize access patterns.

Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing distributed storage systems, APIs, and backend services that power mission-critical applications.
  • Developing high-throughput, low-latency, and fault-tolerant data storage solutions using AWS cloud services.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving production incidents related to data integrity, latency spikes, and storage failures.
  • Mentoring junior engineers, participating in design reviews, and advocating for engineering best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services, particularly AWS storage technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience in designing and developing distributed systems or high-scale backend services.
  • Strong programming skills in Kotlin.
  • Experience working in agile environments following DevOps and CI/CD best practices.
