Senior SAP Basis Consultant

Skillfully lead the implementation, configuration and maintenance of SAP systems to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementation and Upgrade: Collaborate with clients to implement and upgrade SAP systems ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level technical support and resolve complex issues within the SAP Basis environment efficiently.
  • System Monitoring and Performance Optimisation: Continuously monitor SAP systems for optimal performance, conduct regular health checks and implement necessary improvements.
  • Security Management: Implement and manage robust SAP security settings and user administration ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Backup and Recovery Planning: Develop comprehensive data backup and recovery procedures testing them regularly to meet required service levels.
  • Project Leadership and Mentoring: Lead smaller SAP Basis projects guiding junior team members through effective knowledge transfer.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Maintain accurate documentation of SAP systems processes and configurations facilitating smooth knowledge sharing.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients and stakeholders understanding their needs translating them into actionable requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a SAP Basis Consultant preferably in a leadership role with strong background in SAP ECC HANA and/or S/4HANA.
  • In-depth understanding of SAP Basis administration including system monitoring performance tuning security management and backup/recovery procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver Solution Manager and other related technologies.
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA Administration and Database Management Systems is essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills logical thinking and communication abilities are crucial.
  • Proficiency in English both written and verbal is necessary for successful collaboration.
