We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Logistics & Supply Chain Operations Specialist to join our team at the National Logistics Centre in Laverton North, Melbourne. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for all aspects of logistics and supply chain operations, including warehousing, transportation, and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve inventory accuracy to meet customer expectations and internal targets
- Ensure efficient location management planning by optimizing storage locations and space utilization
- Control stock taking activities, including cycle counting, trend checks, and Random Sample Inventory counts
- Guide 3PL suppliers on new part storage, overflow, clearing activities, and expired parts management
- Create and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports to identify areas for improvement
- Prioritize and manage workload in a time-sensitive environment to achieve excellence
- Take responsibility for various operations and become a subject matter expert
Requirements
- Logistics/supply chain or relevant business degree or demonstrable practical experience in Inventory Management (2-3 years)
- Strong analytics reasoning and solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data entry and numbers
- Ability to multi-task and manage own workload
- Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI experience highly regarded)
- SAP, ERP, WMS, and inventory systems knowledge and experience desirable
