About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse General Hand to join our team at Andrews Meat Industries. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working in a fast-paced warehousing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manual Handling Work: As a Warehouse General Hand, you will be responsible for performing manual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving stock within the warehouse.
  • Pallet Jack Experience: You will also be required to operate a pallet jack to move stock around the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of products.
  • Stock Replenishment: Your responsibilities will include replenishing stock levels, ensuring that products are readily available for distribution to customers.
  • Stock Rotation: You will also be responsible for rotating stock to ensure that older products are moved to the front of the warehouse, reducing waste and minimizing stock obsolescence.
  • Products Sorting and Grouping: In this role, you will be required to sort and group products according to their categories, making it easier for customers to find what they need.
  • Weekly Stocktake: You will also be responsible for conducting a weekly stocktake, counting and verifying the quantities of products in stock to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
About You
  • Physical Fitness: As a Warehouse General Hand, you will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods. Therefore, you must be physically fit and strong.
  • Safety Attitude: A strong safety attitude is essential for this role, as you will be working in a fast-paced environment with potential hazards. You must be able to identify and report any safety concerns.
  • Previous Experience: We are looking for individuals with previous experience in a warehousing environment, preferably with experience in manual handling, pallet jack operation, and stock management.
