Investment Operations Specialist

Job Title:
Investment Operations SpecialistThis role involves supporting the effective management of risk and governance within an investment services team by identifying operational risks, implementing controls, and promoting best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incidents through to closure, participate in risk training, provide training to team members, and represent the team in risk management meetings.
- Assist with fund establishment, terminations, and investment manager transitions, including liaising with custodians and internal teams to plan, execute and review product changes.
- Oversee corporate and class actions, stale price reviews and coordinate with third-party service providers to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Risk & Compliance, Internal Audit, and Vendor Management to ensure controls are robust and processes are compliant.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably with experience in investment operations, fund management, or custodial services.
- Strong understanding of Australian financial services regulations, especially related to superannuation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines.
