This is a part-time role that will offer vital support to employees with lived experience of intellectual disability, helping them achieve their work goals and actively contribute to their teams.

The role reports to a senior research professional and has no direct reports. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on empowering health care and disability professionals to address the health care needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to employees with lived experience of intellectual disability in achieving their work goals
  • Mentor people with emotional and support needs
  • Demonstrate commitment to inclusive teamwork and ability to build respectful relationships
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification with subsequent relevant experience in educating or supporting people with lived experience of intellectual disability
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including experience in providing mentoring
  • Able to maintain clear professional boundaries while building respectful relationships
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive teamwork and ability to build respectful relationships
  • Able to make sound judgements and work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly proficient in computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office Applications
