Maintenance Planner/Controller Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner/Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities across various sites.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a maintenance planning or coordination role, strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and empower a diverse trades team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities and small projects, including parts coordination, SOPs, and permits (e.g., confined space, hot work)

  • Facilitate daily team meetings, review progress, and adjust plans as required

    ">
  • Manage work requests, maintenance tags, and asset care reporting

    ">
  • Work closely with trades and contractors, providing on-the-floor supervision and troubleshooting

    ">
  • Coordinate contractor support for overhauls and one-off projects

    ">
  • Lead team engagement by promoting ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement

    ">
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align maintenance priorities with broader site goals

    ">
  • Maintain CMMS system data and reporting, and ensure best-practice usage across the team

    ">

About You:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance planning or coordination role - ideally in a manufacturing environment

    ">
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower a diverse trades team

    ">
  • A hands-on mindset and comfort being out on the floor

    ">
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

    ">
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and ability to stay calm under pressure

    ">
  • A safety-first approach in everything you do

    ">
  • Proficiency with CMMS (SAP PM beneficial), Microsoft Office, and general computer literacy
