Maintenance Planner/Controller Job Description
">We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner/Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities across various sites.
">The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a maintenance planning or coordination role, strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and empower a diverse trades team.
">Key Responsibilities:
">Plan and schedule maintenance activities and small projects, including parts coordination, SOPs, and permits (e.g., confined space, hot work)
">Facilitate daily team meetings, review progress, and adjust plans as required
">Manage work requests, maintenance tags, and asset care reporting
">Work closely with trades and contractors, providing on-the-floor supervision and troubleshooting
">Coordinate contractor support for overhauls and one-off projects
">Lead team engagement by promoting ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
">Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align maintenance priorities with broader site goals
">Maintain CMMS system data and reporting, and ensure best-practice usage across the team
">
About You:
">Previous experience in a maintenance planning or coordination role - ideally in a manufacturing environment
">Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower a diverse trades team
">A hands-on mindset and comfort being out on the floor
">Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
">A proactive, problem-solving attitude and ability to stay calm under pressure
">A safety-first approach in everything you do
">Proficiency with CMMS (SAP PM beneficial), Microsoft Office, and general computer literacy
