Job Title: Legal Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Legal Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to our lawyers and fee earners.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skills and knowledge in the legal industry. You will play a key role in supporting our team by creating, drafting, editing and formatting various legal documents and correspondence.

In addition to your administrative duties, you will also assist with project management, including drafting cost agreements, monitoring fee estimates and client reporting.

You will be responsible for end-to-end monthly billing, including timesheets and bill finalization, as well as handling court diaries and lawyer calendars.

Other responsibilities include coordinating meetings and internal/external functions and events, opening/closing matters and arranging travel and reconciling expenses.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within a private practice law firm
  • A solid understanding of litigious procedures and legal terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with Aderant Expert for billing (advantageous)
