About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Scheduler to join our Operations team at Australian Rail Track Corporation. As a Scheduler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our rail network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule maintenance works using templates and frameworks to support the scheduling function.
  • Effectively balance competing priorities of technical compliance, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations in devising compliance processes.
  • Provide assistance and participate in projects and initiatives related to scheduling, including KPIs and benchmarking activities.
  • Promote a safety culture within the team to conform with current Work Health and Safety (WH&S) and relevant Rail Safety legislation.
  • Implement consistent, fit-for-purpose streamlined processes across the Interstate Network.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with PC/Project staff.
  • Provide expert asset management system advice and functionality for key stakeholders.
  • Respond to and maintain regular and ongoing communication with key stakeholders, including internal and external personnel.
  • Promote innovation to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Understanding of operating an asset maintenance function in a rail business.
  • Experience in scheduling and/or planning in a railway or heavy industry maintenance role.
  • Advanced negotiation, influencing, analytical, problem resolution, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of and experience with complex asset management systems.
  • Attention to detail.
  • High level of computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Able to travel as required.
