About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technologist to join our team as a Technical Support Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our clients, ensuring that their energy systems are functioning efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical support and assistance to clients, including troubleshooting and maintenance of energy systems.
  2. Investigate and evaluate current work processes to identify areas of improvement and implement changes to achieve better efficiencies and reduce costs.
  3. Analyze and evaluate energy system faults and defects to determine root-cause and apply appropriate maintenance measures according to technical specifications.
  4. Create and maintain detailed documentation for energy systems, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  5. Plan repair and maintenance schedules that comply with standard completion times.
  6. Document all requirements, including drafting plans and modifications necessary to ensure required outcome is achieved.
  7. Conduct research on new technologies and designs, or refine existing ones to meet current project requirements and technological advancements.

Core Competencies and Skills

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  2. Minimum 5 years' proven experience in a similar role.
  3. Proficiency in using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software packages.
  4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  5. Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
  6. Fast learner who understands and applies new knowledge and techniques.
