We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic to join our team as a Lecturer in Media and Communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research in the field of media and communication, and will contribute to the development of our academic programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver innovative teaching in media and communication at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Contribute to the research agenda, maintaining a strong output of publications or creative works.
- Co-supervise PhD students.
- Build industry connections to support research, knowledge exchange, work-integrated learning and graduate employment opportunities.
- Contribute to the academic community through service and leadership.
- PhD in Media and Communication or a related area.
- Relevant experience in teaching and research.
- Some experience of media production, including the ability to use audio-visual production software.
- Research specialisation in one of the following: public or strategic communication, digital storytelling, media law and ethics, environmental/science communication, media activism, or Indigenous, LGBTQIA+ or community/regional media.
