Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Mobile Maintenance department at George Fisher Mine.

In this role, you will perform routine scheduled maintenance tasks, troubleshoot and complete breakdown repairs on mobile equipment. You will work effectively as part of a team and independently in a dynamic environment with a focus on planned maintenance.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working on light fleet maintenance, including Toyota's, Nissans, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Holden and Isuzu, as well as light trucks, buses, and small trailers.
  • Performing breakdown repairs.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Delivering personnel and equipment to job sites and returning surplus equipment to stores.
  • Assisting in achieving budgeted development and production KPIs by performing varied tasks.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Trade qualification - Motor Mechanic.
  • A current manual driver's license.
  • Experience in repairing mobile equipment.
  • A positive attitude and high safety standards.
  • Mining or heavy industry experience is highly regarded.
  • Holding a High risk work licence, Working at Heights and Confined Space, forklift license, MR or HR license.

This is a 7 on 7 off day and night continuous shift roster.
