Transport Infrastructure Project Manager Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Transport Infrastructure Project Manager, where you will be heavily involved in significant urban development and roads/rail infrastructure projects from inception to completion.

You will deliver high-level advice, stakeholder management, and problem-solving expertise to all project stakeholders. Under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager and delivery lead, you will take a hands-on approach, overseeing coordinating engineering design, planning and approvals, construction, commercial, and reporting.

This role requires some site-based activity and may involve travel to regional sites to perform these duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scoping and managing major transport infrastructure projects from inception to handover
  • Programming and scheduling
  • Managing the preparation of tender documentation and post-tender responsibilities
  • Coordinating design from concept to delivery
  • Consulting with clients, with approval management and project delivery responsibility
  • Managing stakeholders; interfacing with consultancies and contractors
  • Regular project reporting: cost control, budget status, variations and forecasting
  • Management of contractual requirements including scope, time, and cost
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering, with post-graduate engineering qualifications looked upon favourably
  • Experience on significant transport infrastructure projects; project values of around $50 million ideally
  • Good people skills and a passion for teamwork and delivering strong results
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • Can-do attitude, ability to hit the ground running, work autonomously and solve problems
  • Experience in Project Management and/or formal qualifications in this area would be a benefit
  • Proven ability to multitask and remain quality-focused in a fast-paced environment
