Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Opportunity

Our organization is seeking a skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide medical leadership within interdisciplinary teams. This role will support the delivery of mental health assessments and management for young people, empowering families and care networks, participating in key clinical decisions, supervising registrars, and assisting medical student education.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert psychiatric care to children and adolescents, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes. This includes assessing patients' mental health needs, developing treatment plans, and evaluating their progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead interdisciplinary teams in the assessment and management of mental health disorders in children and adolescents
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Provide supervision and guidance to junior medical staff
  • Contribute to medical student education and training

Location and Environment:

This role is based in Nepean Hospital and Penrith, offering access to a variety of outdoor activities, cultural events, and educational institutions.
