Delivering Exceptional Physiotherapy Leadership
The Deputy Head of Physiotherapy plays a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy services. This position involves collaborating closely with the Head of Physiotherapy to advise on strategic direction and ensure alignment with clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the operations of the Physiotherapy Department effectively
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Physiotherapy to drive strategic decision-making
- Optimise workforce capabilities and capacity through targeted initiatives
- Provide supervision and mentorship to physiotherapy staff, students, and Allied Health Assistants
- Engage with stakeholders through consultation and negotiation at various levels
Requirements
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Proven experience at senior clinician and/or management level within a healthcare setting
- Extensive clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in physiotherapy, with a strong understanding of scope of practice
- Human resource management experience, including learning and development, recruitment, and performance management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think strategically and influence team collaboration and outcomes
- Relevant clinical experience and a deep understanding of the care continuum
