Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic Job Opportunity

Are you passionate about working on heavy vehicles and looking for a challenging role in a dynamic environment? Ventura Bus Lines is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our Croydon workshop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and reliable fleet of buses
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including oil checks and filtering
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines and other heavy vehicle components
  • Test drive vehicles to identify malfunctions
  • Conduct safety inspections and enter defects
  • Complete engine work and repairs as required
  • Assist with on-road breakdowns and provide technical support
Requirements:
  • Relevant apprenticeship or trade qualification
  • Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
  • Heavy vehicle experience and a strong understanding of diesel engines
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Current MR or HR licence (not essential)
  • Positive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic
