Survey Drafter

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Survey Drafter to join our team at Rps Incorporated. As a key member of our surveying team, you will play a pivotal role in generating clear, comprehensive, and precise working and detailed plans.

• Plan Preparation: Prepare various plan types, including survey, cadastral, topographical detail, as constructed, town planning, and environmental plans, as well as subdivision design and associated calculations.
• Client-Centric Approach: Strive to comprehend projects from the clients' perspective to gain a clear understanding of deliverables.
• Feedback Loop: Actively seek client feedback, adjust behavior accordingly, and take appropriate actions.
• Consistent Excellence: Produce high-quality work consistently, completing all tasks accurately, efficiently, and within the stipulated timeframe.
• Proactive Responsibility: Proactively take responsibility for work completion and hold oneself accountable if targets are not met.
• Risk Management: Identify major project risks/rewards and effectively communicate these to clients or project surveyors. Demonstrate proactive risk addressing for client solutions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with planners and surveyors to contribute to the success of projects from inception to delivery.
• Industry Awareness: Keep abreast of industry changes, including broader developments, to stay informed and relevant.
• Professional Development: Actively develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional growth.
• Reputation Management: Assist in maintaining Rps Incorporated's positive reputation in the market.
• Professional Conduct: Demonstrate a highly professional manner in dealings with sub-contractors and clients as required.
• Technology Integration: Display a solid understanding of technology, leveraging available tools to provide value-added services to clients.
• Adaptability: Undertake any other reasonable requirements for the Survey Team.

• Academic Background: Completed or undertaking an undergraduate degree in surveying or equivalent (preferred).
• Drafting Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of drafting experience within the surveying environment.
• AutoCAD Proficiency: Display intermediate to advanced skills using AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Survey Software Competency: Exhibit acceptable competency levels with other survey software such as SurvaCAD, Magnet, 12D, Civil3D, or similar.
• GIS Software Familiarity: Familiarity with GIS software such as Mapinfo, Arcview Global Mapper, or similar.
• Cadastral Drafting Expertise: Experience with Queensland cadastral drafting processes/SurvaCAD is highly regarded.
