Job Title: Forestry Field Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and punctual Forestry Field Technician to join our team in the field.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in implementing forestry projects and conducting field surveys to assess forest health, tree growth rates, and potential pest or disease outbreaks.
  • Collect samples of plant tissues for laboratory analysis.
  • Fully comply with safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during field operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and provide regular progress reports to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with other team members on various tasks as required.

Skillset:

  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Good communication skills with ability to follow instructions accurately and report findings effectively.
Qualifications:
  • High school completion or equivalent qualification.
  • A current Class C driver's license.
  • Additional certifications related to forestry or agriculture will be advantageous but not mandatory.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Demonstrated wildfire firefighting competency and/or previous experience in forest fire management.
