Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Training Advisor to join our team at Monbeef. As a key member of our health and safety team, you will provide proactive and reactive support to frontline leaders to implement practices and processes that achieve our health and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Champion a Positive Health & Safety Culture: Conduct site walks, engage with leaders and team members, and promote a culture of care to achieve best practice levels of safety and legislative compliance.
- Promote and Support Health & Safety Hazard Identification: Liaise with department managers and supervisors to identify health and safety hazards, risks, and risk controls, and ensure the provision of relevant Safe Work Instructions.
- Coordinate the H&S Critical Risk Management Program: Keep senior leaders focused on proactive risk management and ensure the provision of relevant Safe Work Instructions.
- Coordinate the Site Safety Committee: Ensure priority issues for team members are heard and resolved, and facilitate event investigations and closure of corrective actions.
- Deliver Induction and Training: Provide induction to new team members, assess team members' competency in skill-based activities, and own all external training coordination for site team members.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, including incident investigation and risk assessments, ideally within a manufacturing or similar blue-collar industry.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety, or a willingness to acquire.
- Skills: Ability to build rapport easily, lead others with or without authority, and manage multiple priorities comfortably.
